The Company
GeoSpatial Systems Pvt. Ltd. established in July
1997 is commencing various services in Geographical Information
Systems (GIS). It is the first joint venture Company of its kind
in Nepal. It endeavors to create additional service in GIS and
Information Technology (IT) field in coming year. Overall information

GeoSpatial Systems was formulated in 1997 by its visionary Nepalese
Promoters and Japanese renowned Air Survey company Nakanihon Air
Service Co. Ltd. (NNK), Nagoya, JAPAN.
It had been registered with Office of the Company Registrar, HMG,
Nepal in July 1997. It is an active member of Computer Association
of Nepal (CAN) and associate member of Federation of Nepalese
Chamber of Commerce and Industry. GeoSpatial Systems is an organization
of GIS professionals providing consulting services in GIS based
projects. It has now emerged to provide IT related services and
Photogrammetry Orthophoto analysis.
The company is fully equipped with GIS, Image Processing, and
Digitization workstations. Peripherals like large-scale format
scanner, plotters are also available. We have more than 60 data
capture workstations besides a number of computer systems for
quality control, data processing to manage large databases. All
the computers are set up in Local area Network (LAN) and connected
to the Internet via a leased ISDN line, which caters for easy,
and error free data communications with the clients in Nepal and
abroad.
Mission
GeoSpatial Systems is a company established not only with an eye
on achieving business goals but, just as importantly, its activities
are also geared towards accomplishing certain larger objectives
in terms of bringing greater benefits to the local economy and
contributing what little it can towards a frictionless trade regime
in a trade environment that is increasingly becoming global. We
pride ourselves to be a company with a long term vision, and one
of our major targets is to help contain the "brain drain"
by creating employment and sustained growth in this particular
sector of the IT industry.
We already employ 76 skilled manpower and, by the turn of the
century, we aim to have 200 such knowledge encouraged to build
a career in this specialized field which in turn will augment
the growing pool of human resources. We hope that this availability
of trained manpower will help to attract further investments in
this sector of the industry.
